Winter bass, fishing on Tancabesti!
Bass fishing in winter on Tancabesti. Lost more by boats and competitions in recent years, I had forgotten about the pleasure of short shore games, fishing games that covered most of my free afternoons when I started flirting with spinning. Last year I rediscovered Lake Tancabesti, a water that in my past as a "universal" fisherman rhymes with boilies and coropisnite. In a few quick games, I had fun with perch, pike, salami and more recently with black bass, a convenient location for tests and recharging the batteries.
Winter in Tancabesti, February 13 degrees
The sun and the 13 degrees of a February day quickly changed my plans for a busy day in Bucharest in a test outing on the waterfront. Lunch hours, Mim Team showroom compass head, choice of equipment in maximum 15 minutes: Quantum Smoke S3 Spinn 35 rod (2.4m, 5-35g), reel Dam Quick 5 3000 FD, Quantum XTR Braid Blue 0.14mm thread, some Owner jigs, screws and offset hooks and a bag with Owner Shaky Worm… guess who?
Bass fishing
Quickly ahead, still on the road, pulled the wire on the reel, mounted the video camera, around 15.30 I started walking to the pontoons on Lake Tancabesti 1. After a few test launches with the new rod, without fishing activity, I passed at the bass worm hunt at Owner's. I chose the simplest and fastest mount, on a classic jig, as you saw in the video, resulting in two basses and 4-5 more unfinished attacks.

As it is inscribed on the rod of the rod, the white is loaded well in the launch with weights of 5 grams, I fished with some unencumbered gums. Long lances, parabolic action in the drill, a permissive tip that allows the bait to be inhaled by predatory fish without making them feel at the other end of the wire. Dam Quick 5 3000 FD
I liked the design in the first phase, with elements from the old Dam Quick. A light reel for size 3000, spectacularly well-knit and with a fine roll, puts the thread well on the drum. I admit that it influenced me a lot and the price to take it in the test… 425 lei, like!

Quantum XTR Braid Blue 0.14mm
I have never fished with a blue thread before, I said to try. At the same time, I was curious to see how a cheap multifilament yarn behaves, 130 meters - 44 lei! It didn't yield to the knots I make when I check the threads, it didn't wrap too hard through the rings, it didn't fade quickly (however, it's blue), in short, I didn't mind anything about this thread.
