Lapland Pike spinnerbait time

 Lapland Pike spinnerbait time

This is ten percent luck,
Twenty percent skill,
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will,
Five percent pleasure,
Fifty percent pain,
And a hundred percent reason to remember this name. Spinnerbait!

Spinnerbait was the leitmotif Lapland Pike 2021 starting from time EXERCISE which I had done with Stefan Trumstedt two months ago on the river Ångermanälven, the competition track. After two days of fishing and enough pike caught, I discovered some hot spots, and as lures they gave yield spinnerbaiturile Berti and Strike Pro Pig Shad Jr to me, and to Stefan, to see surprise, Miuras Mouse. Well, surprise, joke, of course, the surprise came from the spinnerbait. It was by far the most productive lure, it was clearly her moment, as I had waited and tried for years in Sweden.

Indeed, however, the greatest pike came (as usual) to Stephen's Miuras, as you can see in this video during training.

In spinnerbait we trust, since 1951

From the first spinnerbait Berti which I fished in the Danube Delta in the late 90's and to this day, I do not think I have discovered another more efficient lure in search of pike. Versatile, being able to fish it in all levels of water at different recovery speeds, turbulent and extremely visual, thanks to the metal palettes and the colorful skirt, you can cover with this lure a lot of water in a short time. And he doesn't just like pike, as he said Petre German a article from Rapitorimania.ro 8 years ago. Over time, I have remained faithful to the Berti spinnerbits produced by Eugen German, these being the protagonists of many successful pike fishing parties in Romania and abroad. In short, the spinnerbait is a lure that any pike fisherman should have in his kit, learn it and fish it giving him the most confidence. And I'm not just talking about what Berti did, try them with the same confidence and the ones from Daiwa, Jackall, Savage Gear, Mustad, Strike Pro, all catch fish and fishermen alike. Oh, I was forgetting, sometimes it's good to put them and trailer hooks, sometimes not. Now, if we're still in the spinnerbait lesson, take a look at here for a few extra tips.

Back to the spinnerbait, back to the future, back to Lapland Pike

Once back in the country with the information gathered from the training done on the river German, eugenics he restored my stock of spinnerbatts, three special colors that we created together, first of all for Sweden, but also for our waters. Or for any water, pike to be, because it is not much. Of course I shared the information about spinnerbait, Pig Shad and Miuras Mouse with Andrei Sava, Robert Boanţ, Ciprian Hrișcă, Cristi Albu, they will also participate in the pike fishing festival Lapland Pike. Albu said that for him in Sweden, for big pike, there is only spinnerbaitul Savage Gear Da Bush, the rest doesn't matter anymore. Buckwheat said he has since Custino all the big ghosts in the world that catch giant pike in Sweden, Sava made me order them from Stefan Trumstedt four Miuras Mouse those "with which he gives", Boance mumbled something with Kubira, a kind of Pig Shad, but without a pig's head and a pungent smell (he wreaks havoc with him at our French station 11 Sylvain Remetter). If it was all about French people in love with foreign lands… well if you go fishing in southern Lapland, the coolest fishing guide in Sweden was without a doubt Alban Regnoult, head of pike, perch, trout and grayling and all fish swimming near the field Lappland Pro Natur from Southern Lapland. Well, didn't we ask him what and how?

The french connection, Alban Regnoult and spinnerbait, Lapland Pike

With a lot of brandy, as seen in the footage, garlic, polenta, needles, razors and fillets, pots and jugs, luggage full of ghosts, a bazooka full of 20 rods and I gladly attacked Sweden's first redoubt in winning the Lapland Pike at Lappland Pro Natur. A kind of High Bridge that you have to cross if you want big fish in the immediate vicinity of the commune Åsele. Here they were waiting for us, as usual, Alban's teachings. Reconfirmation of previous training information from our French Fishing God, the rods came whole and ready, God Help, another God helped us, plus spare rods, the catchy ghosts in my bag, my voice and my talent, plus I know the beat, that I took it, Stefan Trumstedt was on his way to us, what could be missing to win a perfect contest? A little luck, maybe. Be spinnerbait!

Lapland Pike Spinnerbait Rush Hour

If he gave a shower… He gave. The official Lapland Pike training watered the competitors to the skin, the fish were not active, so we preferred not to enter the water until the day of the competition so as not to upset our plan. A simple plan, half a day to the left of the river downstream, half a day to the right, upstream, Stefan slow fishing with Miuras Mouse, I powerfishing with spinnerbait. Said and done, after the first half of the day without results, they scored the biggest 5 pike over 70 centimeters, we check the ranking and see how Andrei and Robert start loading pike after pike. I call Andrei, who tells me: “Bah, how I give these in Miuras Mouse, it's God forbid! Come here. ” They were fixed on the other side of the river, where we planned to fish in the second half of the competition day. We check two more hot spots, reedbeds, we have about two hours of fishing available, Andrei and Robert meanwhile score their 5 fish, so we set off in a whirlwind towards the hot spot tens of kilometers away.

I just called to say spinnerbait

I don't think the road was longer than 30 minutes, but the adrenaline seemed like an eternity. We reach the area, overtake Andrei and Robert and find a promising area a kilometer away from them, a sunken island full of vegetation to the brim. It's spinnerbait time, baby! In less than an hour we already have over 8 pike on the boat, 7 on the spinnerbait and one on the Strike Pro Buster Swim, with 5 scoreable fish, the largest 97 centimeters, we climb directly on the 1st place, over Andrei and Robert. Of course the phone rings, I answer, Andrei dryly asks “What for?”, I say the magic word and hangs up. 10 minutes away and 10 minutes before the end of the round there is a shout of victory. 118 centimeters, spinnerbait, Robert Boanţ. Otherwise it wasn't a big deal, he caught the monster.

This is Lapland Pike and spinnerbait is our weapon. Or Gupie? Or Pig Shad Jr?

And since no one day of fishing is like the other, the second day of the competition was not the same, neither for us, nor for Andrei and Robert. The pressure put on that place, most of the competitors coming over us the next day, also had its say in our results. Stefan and I brought two more small pike to the boat and we dropped another one (3rd place - 399cm), Andrei and Robert raised the average by a few centimeters (2nd place - 412cm), but without influencing the ranking, because from behind Swedish team Pike Knuckles came in 1st, Martin Ajnefelt and Jens Jonsson, with an average of 467cm out of 5 pike. The biggest catch was left to Robert, hard to beat, in fact, as far as he had, with another 117cm pike caught three days before on the same river at Lappland Pro Natur, he was the only one who could break his Lapland Pike record . La spinnerbait, of course. And yet it wasn’t just about spinnerbait, the winning team, Pike Knuckles caught the fish with Strike Pro Pig Shad Jr and guppe.

We are Lapland Pike

This year Lapland Pike he took a break and I honestly miss this competition I have been participating in for many years. One of the reasons was not to overlap with the competition Nordic River Pike Open organized by Daniel Robertsson fixed in the same period, on August 19-20, the river Umeälven, Lycksele. The competition is open, anyone can take part and it counts as a stage in the Swedish national boat fishing championship. I'm still thinking, to go, not to go… What do you say?

If you liked it, I appreciate any SHARE
