The story of a fishing video intro, AndyArif.ro!

In addition to the grace of writing in a unique way, (see article 1) Ioana Alexe and draws in a big way (see article 2). On top of that, he also knows how to edit photo & video, being DTP at Architecture magazine. And I needed a fishing intro for my YouTube videos. Something special.

"Hi John, do you know how to make video animation? I need an intro for the site / YouTube that contains some elements: a fish drawn by you in time lapse, the AA logo I have, the slogan "It's all about fishing" and AndyArif.ro. And to represent me as you see me personally, through the site, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, as a character. Otherwise you have a free hand! Don't ask me along the way, I don't want to influence you, I'm sure it will go well "

What came out? Of course something special, as I asked, as is Ioana. A story caught in Rush rhythm (as otherwise) for 37 seconds, behind which hides a small work of art. At least for me. With Ioana's consent, I tell the "story" of this project, through her words.

"The dialogues with Andy are exactly as he describes them. Say a word and two encouragements and then go fishing. I work in an editorial office (as for architecture, there is no point in talking about it) and there I always have clear themes and deadlines, authors and requests. The texts have a number of signs, a theme, and the visuals even more constraints and tight teaching. So in real life no one tells me, “Do what you want, when you want, what you want. "Don't ask me along the way, I don't want to influence you, I'm sure it will work out" is very flattering but it's hard for me.

For a month I drew pike (we'll admire the pike at the museum, yes, yes!) The pike and perch, knowing from the first line that this is not what I want to do. I was right, Andy has been adding some trout and some Swedish prawns lately. So, I come up with ideas, and to see them flush it out, it's really fun. I would have been bored a long time ago if it was just fish and equipment.

But I was left with his favorite word, "story," which he always uses to refer to people or past events. Everyone has the impression that fishermen invent stories, and that's probably the case. Some say we're liars, but in fact, that world of water makes you see it differently, bigger, simpler. The morning light on fishing is harsher, and the day is populated by huge fish and unreal possibilities in the real world. This is how we came to the idea of a world as deep, hidden and fluid as memory. Surely it could have been that water in which any throw remains there, hidden from view. It's just that the waters are many and not really unique, and I needed a special element. Do you realize that we live on a planet covered by 2/3 water and people are surprised that we fish ?!

It seemed to me that the moon, with its influence on the waters, fits well with the water in the second part of the intro. A month like a fish ubiquitous in the dreams of the fisherman, the queen of stories, always present, a little distant, a little silent, with an invisible face. Just like my subject. That oversized eye through which other worlds are seen is Andy's gaze always turned inward. Beyond all these sensitive worlds, I also pointed out the warm humor, never ironic or mischievous, perfectly adapted to the conversation and the interlocutor, that's how that playful little fish and the writing of comics appeared. I wanted there to be two planes: the story full of imagination and the retained image. Hence the logo that is reflected in the water, so that in the end it remains clear floating between the waters.

Maybe I described in many words an image that I wanted to be just like a fleeting idea, to remain in his memory as something that is not entirely explicit. An opinion. I told him from the beginning that it would be different in my eyes and I did not try to keep it, but that's how it turned out. "

Please tell, whats the story of them big puppys ................ Thanks, Ioana!

PS1: Speaking of terrorizing, I insist that Ioana make a blog.

PS2: Insist too!

Fishing is a beautiful game, especially when you take it seriously. Fisherman's child, fisherman's father, fisherman's friend, storyteller, traveler, nature lover, dreamer in this wonderful world of fishing. Be it spoken, written, photo, video or online.
